Advertising systems that video service providersuse today contain a rich set of capabilities designed toexpand their ad sales business. While audiencemeasurement has been a key component of creatingeffective ad campaigns - by replacing irrelevant ads withads better suited to the context of the audience - thetraditional process is extremely slow and does not maximizethe impact of the ads reaching the audience. This paper willpropose and discuss an architecture that can transform thead insertion playing field from a reactive one - managed bystatic data – to a data science environment where thesoftware is continuously learning about the audience andmaking insertion decisions in real-time.
