This paper presents some preliminary results on the use of multilevel converters aiming electronically controlled power systems applications at distribution/transmission voltage levels. A guide on the configuration of the PWM modules of the TMS320F28335 DSP is presented, including some particularities required for multilevel phase-shift modulation. Experimental results are presented for a seven level converter (composed of three H-bridges connected in series) with resistive load.
