Estimation of direct axis synchronous parameters using the sudden short-circuit tests

摘要

This paper presents a methodology to obtain direct axis parameters of salient poles synchronous machine with fast transitory dynamic. The referred methodology is suitable for small machines employed in distributed power generation. The calculated direct axis parameters are compared with the values obtained by others standard methods. The results show good agreement for the direct axis and transient reactances values estimated by different methodologies.
