IMPLEMENTING DATABASE SOLUTIONS:OBJECT, RELATIONAL, OR BOTH?

Object-oriented databases have been proposed as both an alternative and as a supplement to relationalrndatabase technology. This work presents an example of an implementation of both a relational database andrnan object-oriented database in conjunction with an object oriented system. Key features of the two approachesrnare presented, as are advantages and disadvantages of both.
