摘要

In order to clarify the unsteady flow fields with tip leakage vortex in a small axial fan, the experimental investigation was carried out. The small fan tested in this study is mainly used to cool the electronic parts. Therefore, it is required that the fan has high cooling performance, high efficiency and low noise level. In the present work, the velocity field measurements at rotor inlet and outlet using a single slant hot-wire probe and the pressure field measurement on the casing wall using a high responded pressure transducer were performed. From the results, the features of tip leakage vortex were discussed.
