Presented in this thesis is the investigation of the influence of the coupling method on the water hammer wave speed in coupled petroleum pipeline. Experiment is done to study the variation of rubber's modulus with pressure when its deformation is restricted in one direction. The average computational method is deduced to calculate the wave speed and the formula indicates that the wave speed in field petroleum pipeline increase with the pipe's inner pressure.
