摘要

To develop a balanced and up to date expenditure program for a highway network, the rate of deterioration of the pavement, and the nature of changes in the condition need to be predicted so that timing, type and cost of maintenance can be estimated. This paper presents the application of Evolutionary Algorithm in predicting roughness progression in flexible pavement. The Evolutionary Algorithm used in the paper combines genetic algorithm (GA) with techniques from genetic programming, hill climbing, heuristic search for the coefficient of the model.
