Several non-thermal factors influence the primary and secondary effects of interstitial thermal treatmentsrnusing various types of non-ionizing irradiation. Recognition and understanding of the influences of thesernvarious factors are important in choice of energy source, the configuration of the application instrument andrnthe design of treatments.
