Successful digital grade developed at Australian Paper Shoalhaven opening new markets

A new Digital grade of paper has been successfully launched called Saxton Smooth Digital. The paper has been successfully made 3 times on site and has passed HP certification as a recommended grade for printers using HP Indigo presses. The paper has the advantages listed below: 1. 100% Electroink~R adhesion 2. ＜1mm ink peel on score test 3. Excellent ink transfer and blanket compatibility 4. Extended shelf life with stable adhesion and optical properties 5. Cost effective replacement of Sapphire technology with no negative attributes This is the first on-machine digital paper that has been made in Asia-Pacific that is certified for HP Indigo printing. This paper does not exhibit performance limitations or shelf-life concerns typical to papers treated with the polyethyleneimine (Sapphire) treatment. Additionally, a reduction in sheet whiteness yellowing does not occur.
