The single wire waveguide has been demonstrated as a great solution for guiding wide-band signals in the THz band due to its non-dispersive behavior and low-losses. However, this waveguide has the disadvantages of strong radiation on bends and inefficient excitation. By coating the wire with a dielectric, these problems may be reduced. However, a correct design is necessary to keep the dispersion low and to not increase too much the losses. In this abstract, the high-order modes coupling, what would produce dispersion is treated in a deeper way than in previous works. In addition, a solution to reduce this coupling is proposed.
