摘要

A new lumped-parameter model was developed for analysing the transient flow behavior of a natural circulation loop driven uniquely by gravitational flashing. The advantages of the classical lumped-parameter model in simplifying the two-phase flow solution procedure have been retained. New assumptions have been introduced, however, to extend the classical approach in order to describe boiling flows initiated in an adiabatic up-flow riser by hydrostatic pressure reduction. The new model has been numerically tested for a number of examples. The results show that it can qualitatively describe the transient behavior in such natural circulation loops.
