MCNP [1], developed by Los Alamos, USA, and TRIPOLI [2], developed by CEA-Saclay, France, are Monte Carlo particle transport codes, simulating the three-dimensional transport of neutrons and photons with the Monte Carlo method and they can be used for many applications to nuclear devices with complex geometries.
