Analysis of County Economic Development Disparity in Guangdong Province Based on BP Artificial Neural Network

67 counties (cities) in Guangdong Province have been selected as the research area, and 17 indicators including GDP and gross industry output regarding economic aggregate, economic level, industrial structure, development speed and foreign investment utilization. Evaluation indicator system is established based on these 17 indicators, and a comprehensive evaluation of the disparity of county economic development in Guangdong is conducted by using BP Artificial Neural Network. The result shows that: There is a significant disparity in the county economic development in Guangdong, as is presents a decrease pattern from the Pearl River Delta to the outer area of east, west and north of Guangdong. The evaluation result of BP Neural Network can effectively avoid the possible error brought by subjective weight, therefore enhance the accuracy of the result and better estimate the disparity of the county economic development.
