Indoor formaldehyde pollution is more and more seriously in China.Household air cleaners or new chemical materials have been developed to reduce indoor formaldehyde pollution.This article aims to develop a stable generator for gaseous formaldehyde for the evaluation of long-time performance of air cleaners.Four experimental cases were carried out to test the performance of the generator.It was found out that the generator has a good performance when the outlet concentrations are in the range of 0.1 to 200 mg/m3.The developed dynamic generator can continuously generate stable gaseous formaldehyde accurately.The response time of the device is about 5 min.The relatively expanded uncertainty for formaldehyde is below 11%.
