摘要

The mechanics process of slope getting instable, either natural slope or artificial slope, belongs to the problem of large deformation. Strictly speaking, however, the theory of classic deformation mechanics used at present is a minideformation from the view point of geometric field equation, although the non-linear behavior of material has been studied widely. An absurd result is got when we analyze a typical slide by using the classic theory of deformation mechanics, and a correct solution can be got by using the modern theory of large deformation theory. The large deformation theory and the finite element method were used for analyzing the whole process of the large deformation of Fushun open-pit slide in this paper. It gives a good fit to the large deformation theory created by Professor Chen Zhida.
