摘要

Hoisting rope is an important part of the winding equipment. Its reliability level and fatigue life takes great effect on the safe operation of winding in mine. As the fretting wear of thr rope wires was one of the main cuases reducing the service life of hoisting rope, this paper took the 6 x 19 point contact rope as ax example to investigate the fretting wear of wires in rope. A fretting wear test rig designed in the principle of a bending beam oscillated gy an eccentric wheel was set up in laboratory. A series of experiments were performed on this test rig. The wear volume was taken as a characterization parameter to describe the fretting wear n relation to contact loads, reciprocating cycles and amplitudes. It was observed that the fretting wear of steel wires exhibited four wear mechanisms, which are the adhesive wear, abrasive wear, oxidation wear and fatigue wear.
