Conductivity measurements are an important issue in applications such as of chemical process control loops, environment monitoring, including salinity and heavy metals pollution monitoring, bio-chemical measurements and materials identification and characterization. A common error that affects conductivity measurements is temperature influence. In the present paper a microcontroller based liquid oriented conductivity measurement system is presented as a low-cost and intelligent solution to overcome temperature and other common errors sources. The paper includes simulation and experimental results obtained on water samples taken from river estuaries.
