Wavelets are used as a cutting-edge tool in the signal processing area. One of the characteristics is that wavelets can be used to detect the local changes of a signal(transition), which is the traditional Fourier method can not do. When we implement the wavelet transform to the signal, the transition of signal will reflect upon the magnitude of the coefficients at that location. In this article, we expeiment some signals with wavelets in different lengths, then we compare the size-location patterns with distnct wavelets. From these demonstrations, we conclude that the size-location of the wavelets coefficients remains constant from one wavelet to another.
