More applications of Rare Earth materials have been expanding to various industry fields, more attentions have been paid to them as materials for new applications in high-tech industries. Among such new high-tech applications, the application of rare earth magnet has been growing very rapidly and resulted in a tremendous production increase of rare earth metals and alloys as raw materials. The rare earth magnet plays an essential role as parts at driving device of various electronics products. But it is not so old to be produced such rare earth metals and alloys on industrial production basis, therefore, smelting technology of rare earth metals and alloys, especially, molten salt electrolysis technology to produce those for magnet use is introduced.
