A novel Ni-based alloy containing Al (2-6wt%), Cu (1-4wt%) and Y (0.5-1 wt% ) has been synthesized by arc melting of constituent elements. The alloy is characterized by XRD TG and SEM. Metallography observation has been performed also. The corrosion-resistant test is carried out in K_2CO_3-Li_2CO_3 (1:1 mole). The results showed that the alloy is a solid solution and no intermetallic compound has been observed in it. The addition of Y element as an additive to the alloy improved the oxidation-resistant at up to 700℃ in air and corrosion - resistant in molten carbonate at 650℃, and made the grain finer. Y element is concentrated at the grain boundary in the alloy.
