Effect of physically effective neutral detergent fiber on intake, chewing activity and digestibility in Hanwoo Heifer fed total mixed ration

Steers were offered one of three diets (high, medium, and low peNDF) obtained by different mixing time of 3, 10, and 25 min.in TMR with same formula and chemical composition.The peNDF1.18 contents of the diets were 30.36, 29.20, and 27.19％, and the eating rate is 2.47, 2.61, 1.45 kg hour-1, the ruminating efficiency were 2.73, 1.82, 1.10, kg/hour, the chewing efficiency were 3.23, 1.49, 1.12 kg hour-1 for the high, medium, and low diets, respectively.
