Recent changes in the logistic chain ask for faster and more reliable processes of transporting, sorting and distributing goods. The aim of this paper is to outline the advantages of the application of automated sorting technologies in postal, parcel and distribution processes. The experience of Sandvik Sorting Systems is wide; more than 800 automated sorting systems have been installed world-wide.
