Chestnut Genebank in China National Clonal Plant Germplasm Repository

摘要

Germplasm resources play an important role in providing raw materials for basic fruit genetic research, breeding, and retrieval for rare or endangered species or vulnerable land races. In this article, the development of the cloned fruit tree of National Fruit Germplasm Tai'an Chestnut Repository was summarized, including the collecting and catalogue of germplasm information, description of accessions, identification and application, molecular research as well as preservation and backing up strategy of germplasm.
