In comparison with different types of pure sizing systems, which were mainly developed to achieve better tolerances, but having only a limited influence on the profitability of the mill, the latest 3-roll RSB-generation ideally meets all requirements of modern bar and wire rod mills. The combination of many years of experience and numerous innovations has lead to its success. The RSB should be considered to be the heart of any SBQ rolling mill allowing a constant, consistent production of high quality (tolerances, surface qualities, mechanical properties) with high market flexibility (every dimension at any time) under favourable economic conditions (high yield, high mill availability, low operating costs). The clear economical advantages lead to a short return of investment period for the installation of an RSB both in new mills as well as for revamping projects and enable the users to meet current and future market demands successfully.
