Some improvements had been made to the way of synthesis of diazoresins used in negative PS plate by adjusting pH to 7 when anion exchanging. Six diazoresins were synthesized and their structures were identified on the basis of their spectroscopic IR and 'h-NMR. The result of the experiment indicated that the diazoresins synthesized by this way had better resolvability, especially mesitylenesulfonate diazoresine and dodecyl benzenesulfonate diozoresin. What's more, these diazoresins were applied to imaging composition of negative-working presensitized(PS) plate with methacrylic resin and colorizing background dye. The result showed that the negative photosensitive layer of PS plate had excellent sensitivity, developing latitude, good ink receptivity and good scratch resistance.
