摘要

In this paper we considered dialog as being a complex dynamic system and we adopted, for its specification a teleological (goal seeking) viewpoint. According to this viewpoint, the behavior of the system is implicitly specified by a seeking process of the system goal. This approach has allowed us to clearly highlight the major importance of the fact that the human-human dialog is a purposeful system and that this fact has a great influence on the system performances. Because the machine (the computer or the technical system), the man's partner in dialog, is not able to be conscious of its own state and actions, as well as of its partner, the purposeful of the man-machine dialog system is weak and, as a result, its performance is placed at a much lower level compared to the human-human dialog level. In the final part of the paper we present a viewpoint concerning the possibility of the technical system, participant to the dialog, to learn to have a conscious behavior, thus accomplishing the conditions for a flexible man-machine dialog, closer to human-human dialog.
