摘要

The semiconductivity of phthalocyanine films is strongly affected in the presence of adsorbed electron-acceptor gases, a property which has potential for application in gas-sensing devices1. Previously, we reported the synthesis and film-forming properties of a novel amphiphilic octa-substituted phthalocyanine~2(Fig.l). This compound deposited well-ordered LB films and in-plane dichroism was observed. We reported here the molecular orientation and response behavior of the films to NO_2 at different dipping directions relative to the arms of the electrode(Fig.2) and the anisotropic gas response behavior attributed to structural anisotropy.
