It has been shown such a molecule as DEA capable of a mimic of an epoxy resin undergoes specific interaction in the presence of oxidised aluminium and/or organosilane (GPS) primer coating. This has been interpreted in terms of Broensted acid-base and nucleophilic substitution type of interactions with the help of surface specific techniques.
