Responding to the needs of communications conduit-laying operations, NTT (formerly Nippon Telegraph andrnTelephone Public Corporation) has expanded the range of application of low-diameter pipe driving methodsrnfrom conventional short-distance, straight route driving to long-distance, curved route driving. This wasrnenabled by the introduction of new technologies for position and posture detection, directional control andrnreduction of jacking force. Various improvements have been made to respond to these technologiesrnincreasing job site demands, and reliability of the methods have been increased.
