CORPORATE SOCIO-ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY: A CASE STUDY – THE INDUSPAQUET

Initially, based on various references, is presented a conceptual approach on thernStakeholders’ Theory as the foundation content on what became Corporate Socio-rnEnvironmental Responsibility, the main theme of this article. This research was based on thernstudy of IndusParquet Industry and Trade of Timber Ltd., with its proper characterization,rntaking into account its economic, social and environmental practices. These characteristicsrnwere presented along with other institutional features, trying to show the structure of therncompany. In the presentation of the study, is showed the main structural features ofrninstitutional IndusParquet such as its history, its products, raw materials, and other relevantrneconomic data. In the sequence are presented the social and environmental institutionalrnpractices beginning with the environmental ones, including the marketing policy based onrnstandards of IBAMA (Instituto Brasileiro do Meio Ambiente e dos Recursos NaturaisrnRenováveis) and the sustainability assurance by the Brazilian branch of FSC (ForestrnStewardship Council) that was made possible basically with the use, renewal andrnconservation of energy in its installations, the forest management practices and especially therndomination of eucalyptus drying technology (just to reforestation wood), used in thernproduction of their floors and developed in partnership with centennial College of AgriculturernLuiz de Queiroz (ESALQ -USP). Besides, the healthy Indusparquet also presentsrncontemporary management practices in the social sphere, among others: in this way, they arernpresented through IndusParquet's partnership with the entity "Casa dos Meninos" from Tiete-rnSP, Brazil, where children and adolescents have the opportunity to obtain a more worthyrnfuture. Another important contribution to community is the "Jovem Aprendiz" project whichrngives the first job opportunity for dozens of youngsters.
