The open pit coal mine in Kutahya, Turkey is very close to settlement. So it is necessary to characterization of the vibration levels in order to determination of environmental impacts caused by drilling and blasting operations for the excavation of rock covering the coal seam. For this purpose, 10 trial blasting operations were carried out in this mine.
