Implementation of hardware and software solutions for remote monitoring in substations

摘要

The paper discusses the challenges in front of the smart grids control and the possibilities for migration the new information and communications technologies for their overcoming. A model of distributed system for remote monitoring and control in substations is proposed. The hardware and software design are considered. Attention is paid on the use of PLCs as servers and gateways. Their application expands the flexibility and the reliability of the system. Experimental results are presented.
