Non-coherent single wavelength 56Gbps 640km transmission over DCF-free SSMF link by using direct-detection DMT

摘要

Single wavelength 56Gbps transmission in 640km dispersion-unmanaged link is successfully realized by using direct-detection discrete multi-tone (DMT) modulation method. A single polarization IQ modulator is used to do chromatic dispersion pre-compensation and generate single sideband (SSB) DMT signal. Just one PIN is used to detect the received signal to reduce the cost. More than 3000psm chromatic dispersion tolerance is achieved in 320km link.
