摘要

This paper describes an image processing method to detect bus emergencies, such as spontaneous combustion, vandalism and other dangerous. We extract the main moving area; then use an improved frame-difference algorithm and pixel-matching method to extract moving prospects. Harries algorithm is used to extract the corner; finally we use optical flow to establish the motion vector to determine whether an exception occurs. This paper also presents the related bus emergency system, called the smart bus monitoring system, and its hardware and software subsystems.
