In order to connect the RS-484 monitoring equipments into the on line intelligent monitoring system based on IEC61850 standard, a communication protocol conversion board is developed, In this paper, hardware structure and software of the protocol conversion board is described. Finally, experimental results show that the communication protocol conversion board has higher reliability and applicability.
