According to the energy saving of pump station project,projection pursuit evaluation model (PPE model for short) is adopted in the selection process of pump type and real-coded accelerating genetic algorithm (RAGA for short) is used to optimize projection direction.The sample evaluation indexes are converted into low-dimensional space and in accordance with the size of projection function values,the quality of the program can be evaluated and the decision-making can be made.The results can provide a new way and a new thinking for pump energy saving optimization design of pump station
