The DRB process has grown very rapidly. Today there are Dispute Boards on projectsrnaround the world in fifty countries and $200 billion worth of construction currentlyrnunderway.rnThe DRB/DAB process was born of the need for a better process to resolverndisputes. It is the better process but a process cannot grow this fast without a fewrndrawbacks.rnThis presentation will be a review of the plusses and minuses drawn from contractorrnand agencies’ actual projects. The overall objectives will be to show how the processrnworks and to suggest improvements to the process so all will benefit. Owners andrnagencies will receive more bids and more competitive bids. Contractors have disputesrnheard by a panel of impartial experts as the work is in progress not 3 to 5 years afterrnthe event.
