Pioneer Application and Promising Future of Horizontal Water-Injection in China

摘要

The horizontal water injection is utilized in some oilfieldsrnworldwide. The successful practices show that horizontalrnwater injection can enhance the injectivity. Especially for thernfields in high water-cut stage, horizontal injection can improvernthe reservoir pressure maintenance level, sweep efficiency,rnrecovery, and achieve good economic benefit. Applications inrnan oilfield in West China demonstrate that horizontal injectionrncan raise the water injection volume, improve the sweeprnefficiency. This is the first pioneer case that adopts horizontalrninjection fieldwide, showing the promising future ofrnhorizontal injection in China.
