The solid-free viscoelastic surfactant (VES) fluid has goodrnproppant transport and excellent cleanup capabilities.rnCoupling the benefits of a VES fluid with a carbon dioxidern(CO2)-emulsified system will further enhance cleanup in arndepleted reservoir, extend the application to water-sensitivernformations, and maintain reservoir gas saturation to preventrnany potential water blocks. This paper reports on a newrnmultisurfactant VES fluid system developed specifically tornprovide a robust surfactant-base fracturing fluid withrnsupercritical CO2. The field test results indicate the newrnsystem is CO2 compatible and still possesses all the attributesrnnormally associated with VES systems.
