The paper mainly introduces the advantages of a three-phase outer circulating fluidized bed reactor, which takes porous polymer particles for carriers. When the sequencing batch reactor of bio-film process is run in this reactor, and its load of volume is 1.78~4.15 kgCOD/m~3 • d, the removals of pollutants of the wastewater in terms of COD_(Cr) and NH_4~+-N can reach above 90.0% and 70.0% respectively. This experiment also shows that this process has a great removal potentiality to treat high concentration wastewater.
