摘要

The reverse engineering has been paid much attention to its application to mold design, new product development and other fields. And entity digitization as well as surface reconstruction is its main research content. Three dimensional scattered data points of free surface may be acquired through contact measurement technique and non-contact measurement technique. Among various free surface reconstruction techniques, NURBS surface has many advantages: It can precisely express analysis entity and free surface; It has more flexibility and higher efficiency compared to B-Spline surface. And it is the only method of describe the product geometry model in STEP standard. Based on scattered data points parameterized technique of NURBS and surface reconstruction theory, we can make reconstructed free surface smoother by continual readjustment of control points and corresponding weights. Finally some example are used to make further expound.
