A New Continuing Education Standard

During 2002-2003, TAPPI began exploring innovative new ways to serve the industry's continuingrneducation and training (CE&T) needs. A specific need of those responsible for CE&T within the industry'srnmanufacturers, was that of addressing the high variability in quality of CE&T providers. As a result ofrnnumerous discussions with industry stakeholders, TAPPI has developed criteria for developing andrndelivering quality learning activities. These criteria form the basis for a new TAPPI Recognized EducationrnProvider (REP) program, which will help improve the overall quality of CE&T offerings in our industry.rnThis presentation will discuss the TAPPI REP program, the quality criteria, and benefits to industryrnstakeholders.
