Waterborne Adhesives for Bottle Labeling

摘要

The vast majority of glass bottle labeling in the USA and globally is done with "wet glues", ie. starch, dextrin, casein, non-caseins and other types of waterborne adhesives. Despite some in-roads made by hot melts and pressure sensitives "wet glues" still dominate in many industries. This paper will review the technology of these waterborne products, and will discuss latest developments and trends.
