Pulping Properties of Southern Pine Thinning Wood Resource

摘要

The chemical and physical properties of mature and thinnings southern softwood wood chips and kraft pulps were established. Differences in physical pulp properties were established and shown to be due to the effects of the wood furnish. Handsheets from thinning wood kraft pulps were denser and had higher tensile strengths.
