摘要

The work presented corresponds to working progress towards improving our understanding of the complicated fluid-structure interaction between stented arterial vessels and the flow through them. Preliminary analysis of the results provides clear indication that increase in the compliance mismatch enhances flow disturbances and favors the generation of turbulent flow. Continuation of this effort entails detailed comparisons of these stent configurations with reference cases such as pulsatile flow through rigid and fully compliant vessels as well as comparisons with different stent designs.
