To gain some insight on the implications of traffic modeling on queuing disciplines, a multiple access discrete-time finite buffer managed with an N-level Class Based Queuing discipline is analyzed for performance evaluation in the presence of bursty traffic shared among different QoS aggregated flows. The expected performances for a "tagged" flow, categorized at the lowest priority level, are compared to those of a higher level flow. Performance results exhibit a strong dependence on traffic mixing criteria among the quality levels and, even more, on traffic fragmentation in the aggregation encompassing the "tagged" source.
