BUPT ATM Campus Network

摘要

A typical distributive ATM Campus NetworkBUPT (Beijing University of Posts and Tele communications ) ATM Campus Network is designed in this paper.The proposed network is composed of several small ATM switches in a distributed manner and will be connected to the emerging CERNET (China Education and Research Network ).An architecture of BUPT ATM Campus Network is introduced.Then the interworking and protocol conversion between ATM network and existing 802.X LAN are discussed.Finally,some of the typical broadband applications such as multimedia communi cations,virtual workgroups,remote videoteaching and LAN emulations are decribad in this paper.
