DISTRIBUTED AND LAYERED NMS FOR DQDB MAN

摘要

DQDB MAN has been considerd to be the first step to B-ISDN. In ordet to manage it efficiently,effectively and reliably, this paper proposes a distributed and layered NMS (Network Managment System) for DQDB MAN. The distributed and layered method can decrease the traffic of management information and increase the management efficiency.ES- Advisor( Expert System-Advisor) introduced to the NMS can increase the ability of the network to tackle complex network management problem. Based on the OSI and DQDB management architecture,the fairness management distribution process offers an accurate,dynamical and flexible solution to the fairness problem for the bandwidth demanding QA traffic in the DQDB MAN.
