OBSTRUCTIONS AND POLICIES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF 21ST CENTURY ASIAN AGRICULTURE

摘要

There are four obstructions in the Asian agricultural development; overpopulation with less land, serious soil erosion, shortage of water supply and environment pollution. Six countermeasures could be taken; more attention and support from the government, farmland protection and birth control, acceleration of modernization from conventional agriculture, development of science and technology, comprehensive utilization of agroresources, and investigation of new energy sources.
