Raman Lidar and Doppler Sodar Observations of the Nocturnal Urban Boundary Layer at Rome, Italy, During 1994 and 1995

To study the transport mechanisms of passive tracers in the urban boundary layer, simultaneous measurements of the atmospheric water vapour mixing ratio profiles, with a Raman lidar, and of the wind components, with a Doppler sodar, were carried out in the center of Rome, Italy. Measurements were performed in the period February 1994 - September 1995. Preliminary results of the analysis are discussed in this paper.
